PLASTIC REBORN
HOW YOUNG MINDS TURN PLASTIC WASTE INTO NEW BEGINNINGS
500,000 tons of plastic in the sea every year
80% of thay waste comes from rivers
By 2050, there will be more plastic than fish in the seas
PLASTIC REBORN IS A DOCUMENTARY FILM ABOUT INNOVATION, VISION, AND CONCRETE SOLUTIONS TO STOP PLASTIC POLLUTION BEFORE IT REACHES THE SEA
Plastic Reborn was born from a simple but powerful idea: to tell the stories of those who are changing the future of the environment. No doom and gloom, no pointless complaints: we want to show concrete actions, innovative ideas, and people who are transforming a global challenge into an opportunity for rebirth.
From Blue Eco Line’s River Cleaner system, which intercepts plastic in rivers before it reaches the sea, to research projects such as those of CNR IRBIM, our journey will take us to companies, research institutes, and communities that are proving that a cleaner future is possible.
Our goal? To inspire, engage, and show how everyone can make a difference.
THE VISION
Turning a problem into an opportunity
Plastic is an extraordinary material, but its abuse and poor management are creating a global environmental emergency. We believe that the solution is not to “eliminate” plastic, but to use it better, recover it, and give it new life.
Plastic Reborn wants to show real examples where technology, collaboration, and vision transform waste into resources.
